What is a Scientist? Someone who trusts the evidence, even when it doesn’t make sense!
To some people, scientists are nerds in white coats with goggles, but what truly defines all scientists is an ability to think critically about evidence. Science literally makes sense out of things that don’t make sense. Our senses are designed to find ripe fruit high in the canopy of a rain forest and create strong relationships with other humans. For most other tasks, our senses are either barely adequate, or actually fool us. Science is the art of learning to reject what seems to make sense when the evidence points in another direction.
